Terms of Service

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms govern the Gridlock game and online services operated by Drew Devitt, an individual developer based in North Carolina, United States. By creating an account or using the online service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless App Store Connect displays a valid custom EULA.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of majority, a parent or legal guardian should review these Terms with you where required.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for activity on your account and for securing the Apple or Google account used to sign in. Provide accurate eligibility information, use an appropriate display name, and promptly report unauthorized access. Accounts and purchases may not be sold, transferred, or shared for competitive manipulation.

4. Fair play

You may not falsify scores, modify or automate the client, exploit bugs, interfere with matchmaking, coordinate losses, use multiple accounts to manipulate rankings, bypass limits, access another account, or disrupt the service. Gridlock may reject results, remove leaderboard entries, restrict features, or suspend accounts to protect fair play.

5. Social conduct

Display names and social interactions must follow the Community Guidelines. Players may report, block, or remove others. Moderation decisions may be appealed through support.

6. Game modes and availability

Rules, seeds, attempt limits, matchmaking ranges, rating formulas, seasons, goals, events, and availability may change prospectively to maintain balance, security, or service quality. Live players, Recorded Rivals, and Training Rivals are labeled in the app.

7. Virtual items and currency

Coins, cosmetics, passes, ranks, and other virtual items are licensed digital features, not property or legal tender. They have no cash value, are not transferable outside the service, and cannot be redeemed for money. Purchased coins do not expire while the service and account remain available.

8. Vault rewards

Vaults award randomized cosmetics. The app displays current odds before opening: 85% Common, 10% Rare, and 5% Legendary. Duplicate items convert to the displayed earned-coin compensation. Earned and purchased coins may be combined to fund a Vault purchase.

9. App Store purchases

Apple processes iOS purchases and refunds under Apple’s terms. Coin packs are consumable. The Fall 2026 Ranked Pass is a non-renewing subscription that provides a time-limited entitlement and does not renew automatically. Gridlock contains no third-party advertising and does not offer an ad-removal purchase. Purchases are credited only after server verification, and duplicate transaction IDs are not credited twice. Deleting a Gridlock account does not automatically create an Apple refund.

10. Fall 2026 Ranked Pass

The Fall 2026 Ranked Pass provides unlimited Ranked entries through September 30, 2026. The entitlement ends October 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM Eastern and does not renew automatically. It does not improve board generation, score calculation, matchmaking priority, or RP outcomes. The price and availability shown by Apple at purchase control. Eligible entitlements can be restored in the app.

11. Updates and outages

Gridlock may be updated, maintained, modified, suspended, or discontinued. Internet, platform, security, or events outside reasonable control can affect availability. Uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed.

12. Suspension and termination

Gridlock may warn, rename, restrict, suspend, or terminate an account for material violations, fraud, chargeback abuse, security threats, or legal requirements. You may stop using Gridlock or delete your account at any time.

13. Intellectual property

Gridlock software, branding, art, audio, and content are owned by or licensed to the operator. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the app.

14. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Claims may be brought in any court with lawful jurisdiction.

16. Changes and contact

Material changes will be identified with a revised effective date and may require renewed acceptance. Questions, appeals, support requests, and legal notices may be sent to Gridlockapp@outlook.com.
